March 9, 2007, Newsletter Issue #81: About the Driver

Tip of the Week

In 1973, Rusty Wallace made his racing debut at Lakehill Speedway in Missouri. From there he worked his way to NASCAR, winning the Winston Cup Series´ Rookie of the Year award in 1984. The driver of the Number 2 Dodge Intrepid was unable to continue his 16 year record of at least one win per season in 2002 but he was the highest finishing driver without a win last year ending up seventh in the final points standings.
