30 year old Matt Borland spent last season learning just what it takes to become a NASCAR crew chief. To do this, he took on the position in a wide range of series including ARCA, Busch and Winston Cup - all with Ryan Newman behind the wheel. Before becoming crew chief, Borland was a design/simulation engineer for Penske Racing.
