June 11, 2010, Newsletter Issue #182: Tire Changers

Tip of the Week

During a race, there are two tire changers. One person changes the front tires, while the other person changes the rear tires. During a four tire stop, each tire changer will jump off the pit wall holding an air wrench, drop to their knees and remove the five lug nuts. Then they will take off the right tire, place a new tire on and tighten the lug nuts. They race to the left side and repeat the same actions.
