With only 16 laps remaining, Bobby Hamilton passed the defending champion, Ted Musgrave, taking over the lead and staying their until the end where he earned his third career Craftsman Truck Series win. Musgrave finished the Craftsman 200, held at Darlington Raceway, in second with Brendan Gaughan in third and Travis Kvapil fourth.
