After leading 88 of the 267 laps in the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400, held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Matt Kenseth passed the finish line in the lead. His win marked Roush Racing´s fourth win at the track in the past six races. The race´s dominant driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., finished in the second position after leading a total of 98 laps. Earnhardt, Jr.´s team mate, Michael Waltrip, came in a close third.
